Donating Historical Artifacts
Preserve our local history by donating and/or selling the historical artifacts
Dustin Shannon, a Kansas native and historian, is currently collecting postcards, photographs, maps, and artifacts of US History and needs your help in order to preserve the history of our history! Don’t let your important history be succumbed to being trashed or deteriorate… It’s im-portant to preserve our history! Mr. Shannon uses donated items, artifacts and photographs for research purposes and strives to preserve them by purchasing archival supplies to insure the items you donate will last a life time! So… you’re thinking about donating or selling an artifact to us? Dustin Shannon would like to thank you for considering a donation to his research. SHA is neither an archival storage facility, nor a museum, however, we Do try any means of collecting and preserving our local history. |
Does SHA accept everything that is offered?
No, we don’t accept everything that is offered, however, we DO try! What we do is review the artifact or photograph, whatever the circumstance is, and research it’s historical importance to decide whether or not it's relevant to what we’re researching at the time, or should be further concluded for more extensive research, depending on it’s historical reference to what it pertains to. If you chose to donate, we very much appreciate any donations of historical items! However. If you would much rather sell the artifact, we will send you an offer which you have the right to give us a counter offer as well. After the reviewing and researching, you would need to sign a bill of sale or donation of your artifact or photograph. |
Never trash photographs and artifacts that have a historical value, you can either donate or sell to us!
